Not sure what baby or toddler bed side rails will work best for you? As with everything these days there are so many choices and so much research required before you go in to buy. It can be frustrating so we have done some of the research for you.
Before you go to buy your child bed side rails there is a few things you should figure out, such as what is the mattress depth? How many rails do you want for the bed? Do you have a headboard and a footboard for the bed? Do you want the bedrails to be portable? Having this information at your side is half the battle. Some bedrails are packaged with two per pack. Others are made solely for toddler beds, but very few bedrails are for regular mattresses. Some even fold up so that they are portable which is good if your child is going to sleep at the grandparents often.
Toddler Bed Rail
The bedrail should be positioned so that one end is even with your baby's shoulders when the child is lying down. There will be a gap between the headboard and footboard but the baby should not be able to roll off through these gaps.
The other thing to note is that some of the older models leave a gap between the mattress and the bedrail so your baby could fall between the rail and the mattress. So look for newer models or ones that fasten tight to the mattress and you will avoid this safety issue. You will not feel good if you are worried about your baby's safety, so make sure the bed rail is secure to the bed and your worries will disappear.
